When a group of volunteers offered to give us a day of their time, the Diaper Bank team put together a Diaper Distribution Extravaganza. We set out to discover how many diapers we could distribute in a single day.

It turns out that with a team of hard-working volunteers, we were able to give out 185,000 diapers to community agencies! To put this number in context, we gave out 350,000 diapers in all of last year.

In normal times, one third of Minnesota families are unable to afford enough diapers for their families. This year, the financial crisis related to COVID-19 and the community damage from recent riots has left even more families in need of help.

Today, sixteen community agencies arrived throughout the day to receive thousands of diapers which will go to families in the Twin Cities. Thank you to all of the volunteers who helped us distribute diapers today! We are also grateful to the National Diaper Bank Network and Baby2Baby for contributing emergency donations of more than 100,000 diapers each in the past couple of months.
