Frequently Asked Questions
Do you accept open packages of diapers?
Yes! We will happily take diapers that your little ones have grown out of. We count these diapers and repackage them for families in need.
Is my donation to the Diaper Bank of Minnesota tax deductible?
Yes. The Diaper Bank of Minnesota is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Our tax ID is 30-0631448.
Who receives diapers I donate to the Diaper Bank of Minnesota?
We partner with agencies such as food shelves, emergency shelters and crisis pregnancy centers in the 7 county metro area to distribute diapers directly to families in need. You can find a list of the agencies who receive diapers from us here.
What size diapers are needed most?
The diapers we need most are preemie, newborn, 5, 6 and pull-ups. That said, families need diapers of every size, so any donation will make a big difference to a baby in need!
Can I donate any brand of diapers?
Yes. Any brand of disposable baby diaper is very much appreciated.
Do you accept cloth diapers?
We are not currently able to accept cloth diapers. Unfortunately, there are many roadblocks to low-income parents being able to use cloth diapers.
Do you accept adult diapers?
No. Our mission is to help keep Minnesota babies and toddlers clean and healthy. We are not able to accept adult incontinence diapers.
What does the Diaper Bank do with my financial donations?
We have very minimal operating expenses, so nearly every dollar that is donated to the Diaper Bank goes directly to purchasing diapers for babies in need. In fact, we are often able to purchase diapers at nearly half the price you’ll find in the stores. This means every dollar you donate to the Diaper Bank provides even more diapers for low-income families.
How can I host a diaper drive of my own?
Hosting a diaper drive is easier than you might think! Check out this page on our website for everything you need to host a diaper drive at your school, workplace, church or daycare center.
